Additions of new taxa to the pteridophyte flora of Kolli Hills, Eastern Ghats, Tamil Nadu, South India

ABSTRACT

Present communication reports 19 species as a new addition to pteridophyte flora of Kolli Hills, Eastern Ghats, Tamil Nadu.  The conservation status of these species was classified in three categories such as ‘Endangered, Vulnerable and Least Concern’. These species are Cheilanthes viridis, Hypodematium crenatum, Equisetum ramosissimum, Adiantum hispidulum, Cyathea nilgirensis, Cyclosorus interruptus, Deparia petersenii, Abrodictyum obscurum, Asplenium normale, A. nidus, A. obscurum, Athyrium hohenackerianum, Microlepia speluncae, Osmolindsaea odorata, Bolbitis semicordata, Botrychium daucifolium, Polystichum squarrosum, Selaginella repanda and Trigonospora caudipinna. The taxonomic account, description, geographical distribution, conservation status and ecological data were provided for each taxon.
